Amy and I are watching Scandal and it’s fascinating to think about it in contrast to The West Wing. One show is focused on honor and integrity in the presidency and the other utter cynicism. Two fascinating competing visions of the highest office.

I’ve been fighting a bit of a cold. I hit my lifts but this week. But, I slipped my cardio Tuesday and Thursday. It’s OK. I am listening to my body and that’s what matters than a streak in FitBod.

I have been thinking a lot about my online engagement. We live in a time where there is much to say and react to. However, I find that there is little good faith discussion.

To that end, I am thinking about how to create ways to connect with people who want to have honest conversations.

Now that Micro.blog will allow long videos, I’m considering recording my podcast in video format and not just audio. I’m curious if there’s a point in doing that?

I have a quick question for the pastors out there, what do you do on your day off?

I typically take Monday as a day of rest and usually exercise and read.

I have a ten day streak for journaling. I am not a journal-er. I am trying to become a journal-er.

Just jotting down the stuff I did and some thoughts about gratitude.

No pressure.

The journal app on the iPhone has been where I’m doing so.

…and the house is empty, again.

We surely did enjoy every minute of having Ethan and Libby home. We are going to enjoy watching them thrive, too.

I appreciate this idea. There are so many things that we can’t control. What we can control is our next action.

I’m working on this new series of messages focusing on God’s Kingdom Come. It’s so formative for me. I hope that it will be helpful for the people I serve too.
