I was pointed to this speech by Fredrick Douglass in a podcast I was listening to today. It was delivered on December 9, 1860. It is as timely today, as it was then. I would encourage each of us to take the few minutes that is required to read it.

A Plea for Freedom of Speech

I am really digging Apple’s OS26. The unified feel between laptop and phone is fantastic. I really like the way everything looks. It feels very Apple, if that makes sense.

Every time my Session (the leadership of the Presbyterian church) gathers, I am always left amazed by what God has built here. This group of people is something special. I am grateful.

Another phenomenal football Saturday with Libby and the rest of the 236 Fab Five in East Lansing today. #GoGreen šŸˆ

I am excited to begin taking the communities I serve through the letter to the Colossians this Sunday.

Today was spent in East Lansing getting Libby set up for Year 4 at Michigan State! Ths Spring she will be graduating with her degree in Public Relations.

We are so proud of her and all she has already accomplished at MSU!

This past weekend was spent loading a U-Haul and traveling to Iowa City, Iowa. Ethan is off on his next grand adventure, University of Iowa Law.

His apartment is nice. The town is fantastic. The campus is beautiful.

Amy and I are so proud of him!

Some days are just built different! Yesterday, we spent the day in Detroit hanging out, exploring, laughing, eating, and being present to one another. Life is good.

As I have read and researched more about this budget bill that was passed today, many verses ran through my mind, this one seems most apropos.

Do you think that there will ever come a time again where we can have public dialogue about ideas without dehumanizing those with whom we differ?

Diving into this text seems appropriate at this point in calendar…

Back to the gym for the first time since Monday. Had a number of relational opportunities that took precedence.
