Good morning! On this Tuesday of Holy Week may you consider the faithful love of the Divine. #MorningMug #MorningBlessing

"Yes, there was a whiff of triumph on Palm Sunday, but not the kind of triumph that might impress Rome and not the kind that impressed crowds in Jerusalem for long either. What manner of king was this?"
From: The Jesus I Never Knew by Philip Yancey π
This week, let us consider the different manner of king that Jesus was.
He took a draw from the pipe and felt the slight burn of the smoke through his nostrils. His stare was fixed on the large oak tree. There was a single leaf gently fluttering in the breeze. A deep knowing that he was to become both a #vessel of joy and pain was overwhelming.

The #OldGal kept her streak alive but thatβs about all can be said for her 6! #YoungPups letβs sweep!
Good morning! Today is the beginning of Holy Week. May you consider the overwhelming divine grace this week. #MorningMug #MorningBlessing

I was interviewed on a fun podcast about being a Girl Dad. You can check it out here: Dadβs With Daughters
He stood and walked to the railing of the porch as the sun dipped below the trees. Knowing that the decision was inevitable irritated his soul like a #blister. While this moment was imbued with peace the coming moments would not be. #wss366 #MicroFiction

The #OldGal also scored a 4, likely she is feeling bad about her Golden Grizzlies losing in the tournament yesterday.
Perhaps a #YoungPup will pop a two or three today!
Good morning! May you choose to connect with others today in a shared sense of community. #MorningMug #MorningBlessing

Jesus himself had mixed feelings during the clamorous parade. Luke reports that as he approached the city he began to weep. He knew how easily a mob could turn. Voices who shout βHosanna!β one week can shriek βCrucify him!β the next.
From: The Jesus I Never Knew by Philip Yancey π
As we step into holy week this quote has been on my mind. Particularly, “how easily a mob could turn.”
Would I have turned?
Would I have shouted “Hosanna!” and then shrieked, “Crucify!”?
Definitely going to have the split screen going this afternoon for Michigan State/UNC and Wings/Predators.
What a fun day of sports ahead!
If you’re on micro.blog, I would encourage you to check out @Mtt’s Tiny Theme. It is really, really good. He continues to improve it as well.
Even in the moment of peace, as he rocked slowly, the #weight of the decision was ever present. He tried to be fully aware of the moment. The focus of his attention was on the heat from the bowl of his pipe and sound of his own breathing.

The #OldGal whipped me with a 3. She did me like me Oakland did Kentucky.
Hopefully the #YoungPups can up with a 2.
This past week I’ve done the “crazy weather/man cold” thing. Yet, I didn’t miss a lift. A couple of years ago, there’s no way that would have been true.
Yes, I’ve lost weight.
But, I’m no longer the same person. I am a person who exercises even when I don’t want to exercise. It’s what I do now.
This NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament has been really entertaining to this point. It is one of my favorite sports weekends of the year. π
If youβre into sermon listening, mine from this past Sunday has been published: ordinary jesus - quiet righteousness

We take a look at Jesusβ call to a quiet righteousness
His stubbled face and steel blue eyes revealed a deep knowing. His hands were calloused. The #smoke from his pipe drifted gently off against the setting sun. The only sound was the creak from the loose deck board beneath his rocking chair.
At that moment all was peace.

An unforced error in row three. π€¬
The upside? The #OldGal put up a bigger number like her Grizzlies did against Kentucky. She got a 5!
#YoungPups, letβs roll!
Welcome @ChiaCheer to Micro.Blog! πβοΈ
I think one of the most important things I learned in grad school was to hold a charitable position when I am reading someoneβs work. It is easy to see the things I disagree with. To be able to identify the good often requires a deeper understanding of their position.
