If your candidate won, be kind to your neighbors today. Many of them are hurting and experiencing a deep sense of loss. Gloating and holding your candidate’s victory over them is not the way of Christ.

If your candidate lost, it’s OK to feel the sadness and heartache. Look for the good and beautiful in the world and allow it to offer you hope.

Above all, let us remember to love one another. Let us be kind to one another.

Good morning. May you be gracious to yourself and others today. #MorningMug

Remember, regardless of the outcome of the election your responsibility to love your neighbor has not changed.

It was tough today!

The #OldGal finally dropped a game today! She scored a 3, but it just wasn’t good enough.

If your spouse feels compelled to lie to you about whom they voted for it says nothing good about your character.

The Scriptures have clear commands to do good for your city (I think we could expand this to other levels like county, state, and country). This is what is encouraged by patriotism. Patriotism is defined as, “the quality of being patriotic; devotion to and vigorous support for one’s country.”

The Scriptures have clear commands to love your enemy. This negates all forms of nationalism. Nationalism is defined as, “identification with one’s own nation and support for its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations.”

The Sunday Funday puzzle was one that should have been perfect but I “fat thumbed” the letter. Sigh.
