I think one of the most important things I learned in seminary was to assume a charitable posture toward ideas and concepts that I didn’t agree with. When doing reviews of books we had to identify both the good and the bad.
The overwhelming majority of people are not out here trying to do evil, even if you find their position deeply flawed.
We would be wise to remember that.
